David Atkins

David Atkins Lions MD105 Foundation Trustee

I am a retired company director and have been a Lion and a member of Glastonbury and Street Lions Club since 1981.

Having undertaken many roles in the club and district, I had the honour of being District Governor of 105SW (South-West area) in 1999-2000.

Being a Lion is an important part of my life. What gives me the greatest buzz is bringing a smile to the face of someone we have helped in some way.

A little known fact about me is that I received received several awards from Avon and Somerset Police as a police volunteer with Neighbourhood Watch in Street.

Stu Young

#HelloMyNameIs Stu Young and I am a Registered Nurse, working in the National Health Service in England. I have been a Lion since September 2018 when I joined Coventry Leofric Lions.

During my time with Lions International I have taken on many roles in the club, district and multiple district. I have the current honour of being First Vice District Governor for District 105CW – covering the Central West area of England and South Wales.

I was inspired to become a Lion by my dad, who showed me the amazing difference ordinary people can make in the lives of others by embodying our Motto #WESERVE.  Without the amazing support of my husband, I  would not be able to dedicate as much time and energy to Lions.
